Northamptonshire Farmhouse Project Two

The team were asked to return to our client’s house to refurbish the principal master bedroom suite.

The space had a beautiful curved ceiling which naturally lent itself to drenching the room with wallcovering. The client, a keen gardener with a stunning designed garden – gave the idea to cover the room with a beautiful floral patterned covering from Nina Campbell’s new collection.

We decided not to dress the windows and to allow the wallcovering to create the focus in the room. Fabrics were selected to compliment the new wall covering for a bespoke bed valance, cushions and a double sided contrast wool edged bedspread.

The client’s fitted joinery was given an upgrade – professionally sprayed to match the neutral base colour of the wallcovering with stunning bamboo handles and knobs from Mathilda Goad’s studio for the elegant finishing touches.

I have just finished Project 2 with Katherine. She pushed me to the edge of my comfort zone and I’m really pleased she did!

My new bedroom and ensuite bathroom are fabulous. Katherine was  very respectful of the existing pieces in the room that I wanted to keep and she recommended beautiful designs and colours that made the best of them.

We chose a potentially really tricky wallpaper (given the irregular shape of my walls) but her team of tradesmen were so skilled, they have executed it faultlessly.

I couldn’t be happier – roll on Project 3!
