The clients had recently acquired this country house with equestrian facilities. The property required a complete renovation and extension. Design concepts were presented and selected to ensure there was a specific elegant traditional style yet contemporary feel to the new interior space. A fresh, neutral feel to run through the kitchen, open living and dining areas with double ceiling lanterns and sliding doors that open out onto the paved entertaining terrace by the swimming pool. An elegant study for both clients, which leads through to the family drawing room with bespoke designed cabinetry and smooth velvet furniture. A formal dining room is currently being designed, whilst the entrance hall will incorporate bespoke joinery, as will the separate boot room off the emerald green tiled shower room.
The entire ground floor will be an inviting colour palette including part oak floors and part under floor heated large porcelain flagstones.
The staircase will feature a flatweave wool runner which will lead into soft wool carpets and a suite of three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, completed by the additional principle suite for the Master Bedroom, en-suite bathroom and dressing room.
Katherine has been fantastic throughout our project. Initially we hired a developer to renovate our house, but it quickly became apparent that we needed someone with an eye for design to help us achieve the look we had in our mind.
The overall finish is complimented by everyone we see (including our developer!). For a spacious house, it feels warm and homely with an elegant look. The colour scheme throughout the house, along with the fabrics and furnishings are beautiful.
We couldn’t be happier with the work Katherine and her team have done. Thank you!
