Manor Cottage Project Two

The team were invited back to Manor Cottage to develop a disused storage room adjacent to the kitchen into an entertaining space.

A natural flow from the kitchen, rather than an awkward ‘extension’ of the kitchen was imperative to get exactly right in the design. Every aspect of the space needed to deliver the feeling that the room had always been part of the living space of the house.

A neutral yet warm, almost Scandi style was introduced to this space – resulting in a fresh yet inviting space to enjoy in the Summer by opening the completed bi-fold oak doors into the garden. For Winter months, we introduced a suspended log fire within the seating area which created warmth towards the dining area with the limed oak refrectory style table with Lloyd loom dining chairs and matching oak bench.

Lighting plans incorporating wall lighting and large bell like glass pendants above the dining table to create mood together with function ceiling lighting was created. Bespoke joinery to house decorative accessories and an in frame discreet TV was designed and installed.

A secondary seating area was created between the new space and where the room now connected with the kitchen – creating a perfect and natural flow from one space to the other.

New bespoke window dressings were introduced in the kitchen, together with stunning feature tiles as the backdrop to the client’s large Everhot ovens.
