The client had recently relocated back to the UK and acquired their new family home, which required many priority areas to be re-designed to work with their existing furniture and style. We worked with an amazing collection of modern art – sourcing and integrating flamboyant colours in the everyday areas of the house, to more elegant monochrome and bursts of colour in the drawing room, to beautiful pieces in the main entrance hall, the grand sweeping staircase and the first floor landing.
The second stage of the project concentrated on the principal guest suite of rooms and a relaxed living space for the younger generation – following through with the vibrant colour schemes we had partnered to the client’s artwork into these areas through paint colours, fabric trimmings, wall coverings, lighting and soft furnishings.
Katherine at Pomander Interiors has done a great job regarding my entrance hall and living room. Changing the colour of the walls, painting the stairs and adding colourful cushion and blinds, which has given the property a warmth and its own identity without breaking the bank. The second stage Katherine introduced different colours and some crazy ideas, which has shown her diversity and ability to adopt to our needs. It’s been great fun choosing fabrics and colours and Katherine has endless patience and attention to detail which means I love seeing the rooms when finished.
