Manor Cottage Project One

The team were commissioned for three stages to this beautiful country family home. Originally a series of old cottages, joined together over the years – our client required a specific spatial planning process to create a fluid design concept for their principle living areas.

A layout was agreed and furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, soft furnishings and a colour scheme were all delivered for these key everyday spaces. Our client enjoys these rooms and proudly often entertains, now these spaces have been designed to be places for the client and their family and friends to enjoy.

We introduced a beautiful flat weave wool runner to the stairs – leading into our second stage of the project, upstairs.

The second stage was to identify and complete the final requirements for the client’s principal Master bedroom suite. A large, vaulted space with full height bi-fold oak doors opening onto a large balcony, enabled the team to introduce a designated seating area to relax and enjoy the elevated view, furniture and lighting to complement the existing bed and window dressing to partner the colours we had introduced to the reading area.

Unlined contract edged linen curtains were made for the stunning large bi-fold doors – to allow the client to shut out the glaring sun when needed but to still enjoy the hazy rays through the linens.

From the very first meeting with Katherine at Pomander Interiors, we knew we were in excellent hands. We were embarking on a significant renovation project and her expertise and guidance were invaluable throughout the entire process.

Katherine’s work is incredible. She designed our new layout for our living rooms and sourced all of the furniture and fittings. She has an incredible eye for detail and colours but at the same time blending that with our own design thoughts. We could not be more delighted with her work.
