King’s Newnham Warwickshire

A huge renovation project for this Georgian Grade II listed country house. The house took 18 months to transform the building back to its’ former glory. We worked with English Heritage, Listings, architects and Heritage specialists to update, yet, be sympathetic, at all times, to the original features and characteristics of this heritage building.
We retained the original symmetry of the ground floor – focusing on the major re-design and facelift for the family kitchen – incorporating a new Aga, kitchen units with marble tops and incorporated the neighbouring room within the space, resulting in an informal family eating area.
The original dining room was updated with faux panelled wallpaper, a newly sourced French antique marble fireplace – complementing the original Georgian panelled and joinery and wonderful drinks cabinet. The principal living rooms required decorative updating and two sourced Antique French marble scalloped fireplaces.
On the upper floors, Six bathrooms were incorporated, enabling each bedroom to boast their own private bathroom. The Master bedroom leads through into an elegant master bathroom and through to the dressing room.
The top floor has been designed to accommodate three children’s bedrooms – the master, featuring original carved pillars which now features a cleverly designed ensuite shower room.
We worked with landscapers and designers externally, to incorporate a new driveway, formal gardens and a professional outdoor cricket net for the cricket enthusiasts in the family!
