This pretty village house required an update to the principal drawing room. We worked with the client to blend silks, soft weaves and embroidered linens to complement the traditional style and antique pieces in the room. Beautiful existing antique wing backed chairs were renovated and reupholstered in soft French blue weaves. Embroidered French linens were used for the Roman blinds with pinch pleated pure silk curtains, framing each window. Soft blues were used for piped window seats and bolsters, whilst contrast piped silk cushions for the armchairs were blended into the finished effect.
“We were looking for an elegant new look for our small drawing room but getting started was proving very difficult. Katherine was marvellous, she listened to what we were hoping to achieve and then set to work sourcing lots of super fabrics, adding her ideas and helping us to achieve just the look we wanted. The quality of the upholstery and soft furnishings is excellent and although this was a small project, Katherine gave it all her attention and completed the project to our budget. We are absolutely delighted with the result!”
